Seems that the club didn't have enough buckles to go around at the state championship. Emailed the club twice and offered to donate the $5 but would like to have the buckle. Even mentioned it to Cory at the Classic. Am now wondering if the London club has started to continue with their old policies. No biggie, but I am very disappointed, as I was really glad for the change, but thought I'd mention this for those planning on attending this coming year.

Mr. Roberts, First and foremost, I hate to hear your displeasure with not getting your buckle. However, I also hate to see you come on here and attempt to degrade our club the way you have without having a clue of what went on and how hard it was to get everything ready for the State Championship shoot, which we had only one week to prepare for. I would like to take this time to address some of your concerns. As for the buckle. You are correct, the club was not given enough buckles to go around at the state shoot, and those not receiving a buckle were told they could contact state director, Cory Shives at the Classic shoot in order to get the buckle. You say you spoke with Mr. Shives about the buckle at the classic. If that is the case, I would be curious as to what you where told by Mr. Shives concerning your buckle. That is if you care to address that question here? Your next statement says you emailed the club twice concerning your buckle and donating $5 dollars. I am the one who checks and responds to the emails, so if you want to be mad at someone for that, than I'm your man. However, there has not been one email sent to the club's email address from you relating to a buckle. I save all emails I get relating to club issues, and if you would like to see them, I can show you there is no email from you to be found, at least not on my end. Now whether or not you sent them or not, I'm not going to say you didn't. I'm just pointing out that I don't have them. What email address did you send your request to when you inquired about the buckle? Now to your next statement about the clubs operations. This is the one that bothers me the most. Your disrespectful antics of trying to degrade this club and owner Jason Earls is downright uncalled for. I'll tell you right up front that Jason Earls is no Billy Daniels. Jason will not beat you out of money nor will he tell you one thing and then do another. Jason is as honest the the day is long, and for you to come on here and try to insinuate that the club is back to there "old policies", well, frankly is just not very respectful. This is not the club of old, and I'll vouch for Jason Earls any day of the week that he would never try to pull any shady dealing behind any ones back, no matter who they are. Also as for your effort to warn people or mentioning "things" for those planning on attending this year, let me fill you in on a few things, Mr. Roberts. (1). SEKB was contacted a week before the scheduled date of the State Shoot, and asked if we would put on the shoot, which we agreed up on. Did we really have the time to get everything worked out and done in that time? No, we didn't. However we made due with the time we had and haven't heard any complaints about how we operated the shoots. Where there some small problems that took place? Yes, there where, but again, we did the best we could with what we had to work with, which was no guidance whatsoever from those who where suppose to be on hand to help us. The biggest problem I know of is shooters calling the state director, mad, because they were not told the shoot was going to be moved, and some of them driving for hours only to find out their trip had been for nothing. Does that issue lay with us? No, it lays with the state director who moved the shoot. (2). Did we have any help from the state director? Not much. Mr. Shives was said to be on sight before shooters began arriving to help us iron out any wrinkles we may have had or any questions we may have had prior to the start of the shoot. But the fact is, he arrived around noon, talked with owner Jason Earls about some membership dues, shot his class and left us holding the bag. He informed us that another rep would be on hand Sunday to help with presenting awards and money. Did that happen? Not exactly. Although the rep was at the shoot, he was one of the last people to exit the range, and by the time he did exit, everyone else had already shot and had gone. So we did the best we could with what we had to work with. We had never undertaken a shoot of this size, and were not directed very well on how things should have been done. But again, from what I have gathered from ASA, everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good time, except for you I guess. (3) I would also like to touch on your "old policies" reference. I shot with you during the state shoot. And except for the fact you blanked a target, while shooters where pulling their arrows on the target next to us, creating a dangerous situation, I didn't see any problems. Again, this is not a Billy Daniels operation, and if you think so, you are sorely mistaken. And if you think I will personally let you come on here and point fingers at Jason Earls as being like Billy Daniels, you are bad wrong. As I said earlier, I'll vouch for Jason Earls character and honesty any day of the week. As for your character, after seeing as how you have attempted to come on here and put down our club over a $5 belt buckle, I can't say I would vouch for yours. You say the receiving of the buckle is "no biggie" as you put it. Well if that is the case, than why come on here and attempt to degrade this club? All the contact information for our club is on the home page at www.southeastkybowhunters.com. All you had to do was call Jason and he would have taken care of this issue. But instead, you try to shed an ill light on our club by coming on here and talking about stuff that was out of our hands. In closing, I will say that in my response, I've spoken for myself and no other members of our club, including Jason. These are my own personal thoughts on the matter. Again, I hate that your experience at our range was not what you had hoped for, but at the same time, there was several different ways you could have addressed this instead of coming on here and speaking ill of a large group of shooters who are some of finest people I've ever met. If there are still any issues relating to your buckle, you should contact Mr. Shives as he is the person responsible for getting buckles to those who didn't get them at the shoot. Sincerely, Travis Smith

As for you Claude Roberts I'm sorry you did not receive your buckle. We were given the buckles by Cory. We were also told if we didn't have enough buckles to tell the winners to get a hold of Cory and he would take care of it. If you want to get mad or talk bad about somebody it should be Cory Shives.
As for Jason Earls I will tell you right now he would take a lose before he would even think about cheating somebody. You don't know anything about him or us. Jason's word is the truth period. He has great integrity. > > As for you Claude Roberts I don't know about your integrity. I shot with you two year ago in Georgia on the SIMM range. You shot at the 14. I was calling the arrows and I called it out. Which it was clearly and everybody agreed. But I heard later that you didn't understand why I didn't give it to you because you wasn't even in my class. You have not talked to me since. That's not saying much about you. So before you say something about someone or some group take a look in the mirror. > >

As mentioned before, the ordering of buckles was all on the rep. As for intentionally trying to hurt our club, after Jason has literally ran himself ragged to provide us a place to shoot, that speaks volumes about you. PS.....thanks for that dose of reality toypar!
